The developers of Showdown have released a floppy disk fix (v1.4), in addition to this, they have now made the game available for free! This new version fixes the floppy disk access bug that was in the prior versions, including the version sold in the physical box.
This new MEGA65 game by Badgerpunch Games is based on Showdown for the C64, which is a western-themed 1 or 2-player action shooter released in November 2020. The team received positive feedback on the game, especially the 2-player mode, so they thought it would be a good game to bring to the MEGA65.
The MEGA65 version of Showdown features more levels, added graphical details, and a host of other small improvements to the original game.
