After finally releasing a semi-decent 3D Sonic game last year, SEGA is returning to its 2D roots and announced Sonic Superstars at last night’s Summer Game Fest.
There is a brand new art style for the game, and you know what, it looks bloody gorgeous! Knuckles, Tails, and Amy will also join the cast, allowing for (up to) four-player co-op. It also seems to play at a slightly slower pace, probably to allow for better cooperative gameplay between the cast. Really excited about this one – check out the trailer below.
Sonic Superstars will be released this autumn on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
