Switch Player Magazine 69

Switch Player Magazine might not be one of the titles from our Fusion stable, but it’s always sad to see a games magazine close, even if it’s a magazine from another publisher. This is because a healthy independent games mag scene is a good thing for everybody, readers, writers and publishers alike.

For this reason, we were saddened to hear that Ninty Media’s bimonthly title Switch Player Magazine will be closing after its next issue (issue 69).

Switch Player Magazine’s publisher Ninty Media have also published books and several issues of their cross-generation Nintendo magazine Ninty Fresh, and they promise to return with more Nintendo coverage in print.

As There are no longer any dedicated Nintendo magazines on UK newsstands, the mail-order-only Switch Player Magazine really filled a gap in the market. We look forward to seeing what the Ninty Media team come up with next.

    1. From the sound of things, they’re probably moving towards premium book publications, but that’s just my guess.
