As fans of a good beat ‘em up, we’ve been following the progress of Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons since we reported on its announcement last year, and when it was finally released, we weren’t disappointed with the game, as you’ll know if you read our review in issue 48 of Fusion magazine.
And while we maybe didn’t quite enjoy it as much as Double Dragon IV or Double Dragon Neon, it’s certainly a worthy addition to the series, and with the forthcoming Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons free DLC, it’s about to get even worthier!
The Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons free DLC is titled Sacred Reunion and will add three more playable characters to the game, including Ranzou and Sonny Lee making their first appearance since Double Dragon IV. Meanwhile, Chin Sei Mei will return to the series for the first time since Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones.
Other additions included in the Sacred Reunion DLC include a wave-based survival mode, a versus mode, and online co-op, and a new difficulty mode.
