Epic Games and Fortnite raise £110m for Ukraine

Epic Games, in conjunction with Xbox, has announced that $144m (£110m) has been raised for humanitarian aid relief for the victims of Ukraine. For the past two weeks, all proceeds generated from in-game sales in Fortnite have been donated to charity organisations, including Direct Relief, Unicef, the UN World Food Program, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and World Central Kitchen. A new report from game industry experts UKIE has calculated the UK games market grew by 2% in 2021.
