For most kids just getting to play video games is enough but for SJ, the founder of SJ Games, its all about making them. He already has released several games, including Kubo 3 on the Evercade, and now has his next game in development. Dubbed the ‘youngest NES game creator’ by his father, Dale Coop, SJ has achieved so much already and is looking forward to releasing SkateCat on physical carts at the end of the year. The platform game is being developed on NESmaker and promises monster fights and obstacles to overcome.

Dale Coop predicts that about 200 carts will be manufactured and the pre-orders will begin once SJ has finished making the game. He hopes that it will be ready before Christmas but has also explained that the game will be free on itch.io for those wanting to use an emulator. There is a demo of the first level currently available and keep your eyes peeled for a full review later in the year.
