Remember Zool, the ninja ant-type thing who was touted as the Amiga’s answer to Sonic the Hedgehog, but with more Chupa Chups?
Believe it or not, an Amiga port of Sonic the Hedgehog was rumoured for quite some time before Sega wised up about how valuable platform exclusivity could be, and Zool was probably the closest Amiga owners got to the fast-paced Sonic experience on their machines.
The original Zool was an (in my opinion) unfairly maligned platform game originally released in 1992. The Zool PlayStation game is a port of Zool’s 2021 PC comeback title, Zool Redimensioned.
In addition to the traditional Zool one-player platform mode, Zool Redimensioned also boasts 3 new local multiplayer party modes.
Zool Redimensioned was developed by Sumo Digital Ltd’d Sumo Academy and will be published by indie publisher Secret Mode.
Zool zooms into the Nth Dimension on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on Tuesday 16th May 2023.
