Following a physical release on PS3 last year, indie developer Vblank Entertainment is releasing Shakedown: Hawaii as a physical release on the Nintendo 3DS later this year. You read that correctly – a brand new physical 3DS cartridge in 2023.
The retro shooter features top-down gameplay in the style of the original GTA and includes wonderful pixel art and over-the-top action. It was originally released on PC and has seen releases on pretty much every Nintendo and Playstation platform since.
The cartridge is region-locked and will only play on North American consoles. However, the collector’s edition does include a soundtrack CD and an action toy of one of the characters. Both standard ($29.99) and collectors editions ($49.99) will be limited to 3,000 copies.
Shakedown: Hawaii Nintendo 3DS physical editions are due to go on sale today at 10am PT // 1pm ET // 6pm UK.
