The release date for Dotemu’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, the highly-anticipated side-scrolling beat ‘em up based on the 80s and 90s cartoon iteration of the franchise has been announced at Summer Game Fest 2022, along with other details about the game. Shredder’s Revenge hits PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Thursday 16th June. In addition to the titular turtles and their Master Splinter, news reporter April O’Neill and hockey stick-wielding vigilante Casey Jones also appear as playable characters. The game offers online and local co-op multiplayer for up to six players. Backwards compatibility with PS5 and XBox Series consoles is confirmed. The game will also be available on Game Pass from day one. The game promises side-scrolling beat ‘em up action in the vein of Konami’s 1989 coin-op, which itself will be released as part of the forthcoming, but not yet dated, Cowabunga Collection.
