RetroDodo has teamed up with Lost In Cult to produce a brand new 250-page journal on the history of handheld gaming systems. This coffee-table book will launch its crowdfunding campaign at 10 pm BST tonight for anyone with a love for retro.
From Game & Watch to the new Steam Deck and Play Date, this content-rich book will cover in excess of 30 different handhelds. It is also a community-based project and will feature artwork and illustrations from 15 different artists, plus another 30 writers delivering the stories and features. Contributors include Kevin Kenson, Larry Bundy Jr, Ashens, Retro Game Corps, Mike Diver, Bob Wulf, and Elliot Coll.
The book retails for £34.99, with a deluxe hand-signed and numbered version (including a few additional extras) for £49.99. They are targetting £21,000 to get this to production by crowdfunding, a target that is likely given Lost In Cult’s recent highly successful campaigns.
