Hamster Corp just can’t stop them classic arcade titles from bursting out of their Arcade Archives!
Recent weeks have seen the line of emulated arcade titles for Switch and PS4 bolstered by Pole Position and King & Balloon.
The next release has been confirmed as Arcade Archives Growl, a game originally released under the title ‘Runak’ in Japan. Taito originally released the beat ‘em up to arcades back in 1990, with a Mega Drive conversion following a year later, and pretty soon, you’ll be able to enjoy the original arcade version of Runark/Growl from the comfort of your own sofa on PS4 or Nintendo Switch.
In the game, you have to duff up poachers to protect the local wildlife. It’s not every day that a beat ‘em up also promotes wildlife conservation!
The Arcade Archives version of Runak is released in Japan tomorrow ( Thursday 27th July 2023), but the Arcade Archives titles can take a little while longer to hit Western digital stores.
