Contra: Operation Galuga

Contra: Operation Galuga has been announced for release in 2024. Contra was once known as a Titan of side-scrolling action games but fell from grace after the Contra: Rogue Corps disaster. The disdain from fans and critics alike was the switch to a top-down twin-stick game that played poorly and was filled with bugs.

Konami is looking to wrong that right and has teamed up with developer WayForward to get the series back to its best. Contra: Operation Galuga takes it back to its side-scrolling roots and from the trailer appears to have all the classic Contra tropes fans of the series would look for. It will be released digitally for Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC with Limited Run Games handling a physical version.
