We previously reported on the announcement of the Evercade EXP-R and Evercade VS-R, which are revamped, cheaper models of Evercade’s handheld and home console hardware respectively. Both models were scheduled for release this month, along with two new Evercade cartridges (Tomb Raider Collection 1, and Thalamus Collection 1).
However, Blaze Entertainment have now announced that the release dates for the new Evercade models and the aforementioned cartridges have been delayed to 30th August 2024.
Blaze Entertainment cite “an unforeseen production delay and a subsequent shipping delay in transit” for the delays.
Pre-orders for the Evercade EXP-R and Evercade VS-R and the new cartridges remain open, as do pre-orders for the Evercade Alpha, the bartop arcade Evercade model, which remains scheduled for release on 28th November 2024, along with two new cartridges in the Evercade arcade range featuring titles from Toaplan and Data East.
