Anyone who has played the excellent Final Vendetta from Bitmap Bureau and Numskull Games will know just how brutally difficult it is to complete. The game was designed to be just like a classic arcade game and you must learn the game to stand any chance in winning. This mean putting hours into playing, getting game over many times and having to keep replaying.
Many reviews, including this reporter’s one, hailed the game for not pulling any punches and sticking to its arcade heritage. Not everyone was happy though and once the game was released many players were commenting on it being too hard to finish. So, in response to the folk that matter, the players, Bitmap Bureau has patched the game to make it easier.
While the new options make the game more accessible for casual players, some hardcore players have bemoaned the changes. However, the criticism is not needed as the game can still be played in its original form for those who enjoy the tough challenge. The new features, that were unveiled by Numskull this week, are:
- New Casual Difficulty with infinite credits
- Training unlocked from start
- Level Select
- AI rebalances
- Weapon Buffs
