David John Pleasance, who worked in senior positions at Commodore for over a decade is seeking funding for the Amiga Global Alliance, which he hopes will become a central hub for users of Commodore computers.
The name of the proposed community abbreviates nicely to “AGA”, which, as Amiga fans will recall, was the name of the Amiga’s 32-bit-era chipset.
Perhaps appropriately for an Amiga-based project, Pleasance is seeking funding on “Kickstart”-er. Pleasance is aiming to raise £15,000 to launch the Amiga Global Alliance.
Features of the Amiga Global Alliance will include forums, Amiga tech support, a directory of contacts and more.
The money raised by the Kickstarter will go towards: website construction and maintenance
operational Expenses, administration, and governance.
