Hamster Corporation’s range of Arcade Archives titles for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch just keeps expanding, giving modern gamers a chance to experience arcade classics and forgotten gems from the 80s and 90s heyday of coin-op video gaming.
The latest title in the Arcade Archives series was released to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch yesterday (Thursday 20th April 2023). The game in question is 1992’s cutesy Namco shooter, Cosmo Gang The Video.
Next week’s Arcade Archives title has been reported by long-running Japanese games mag Famitsu as being Galaga ‘88, the 1987 update of Namco’s classic 1981 shoot ‘em up.
Other recent releases to the Arcade Archives line have included Navarone and Thunder Ceptor II.
We’re obviously big fans of retro gaming here at Fusion R Gamer, so we love that Hamster are preserving so many titles from gaming’s past, and making them playable for all on modern hardware (and at a reasonable price, too!).
