The classic point-and-click adventure genre has been put squarely in the spotlight with the recent Return to Monkey Island being lauded by players and critics alike. It feels like a great time to introduce another fantastic game in the genre and Lucy Dreaming fits the bill.

Set in the British town of Figgington, Lucy is having nightmares and its your job to help her overcome them. Using a great mechanic, of switching between a dream state and the real world, you guide Lucy on solving puzzles that will give her the tools to combat her nightmares monsters.

A brilliantly simple interface makes this a great entry point for newcomers to the genre but intuitive enough for veterans. The graphics are beautiful featuring lovely pixel art. There are thousands of lines of dialogue and you feel this is a living world. The voice acting is also high quality.

If you enjoy this genre then you should definitely try Lucy Dreaming or if you have not played this type before this is a great place to start. Lucy Dreaming is not the most difficult game to finish but with a funny story and lovable characters it is a must play. Available on Steam now.
