I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Disco Elysium is a masterpiece. As previously reported, the studio had lost its creative talent, and now it seems that the creator is suing the studio.

Robert Kurvitz, the lead designer and author of Sacred and Terrible Air, the novel on which Disco Elysium is based, has filed a lawsuit against his former employer Studio ZA/UM. This was confirmed by an editor for the game via a tweet over the weekend.

The exact nature of the lawsuit has not yet been revealed, but speculation points to Kurvitz wanting to retain his source material and creative work. For those that are familiar with the game, this is quite ironic given the references to the “corporate pigs” within the narrative.
