There seem to be a lot of young people making their own platform games at the moment. Last week, we introduced you to Skate Cat, and now it’s the turn of Mr Monkey & Touc.
The creator of Mr Monkey & Touc is a little older than Skate Cat’s nine-year-old creator, as he is a university student from Northern Ireland.
The game should appeal to those of you who fondly remember the N64 era of 3D platform games, as Banjo-Kazooie and Mario 64 are both cited as influences.
In the game, Mr Monkey and his trusty sidekick Touc traverse the deepest corners of the jungle, exploring six unique worlds and fighting fierce foes, including larger-than-life bosses, while they tackle the main threat of the game: the robot uprising.
