We love our shooters here at Fusion and the good folk over at ININ Games has another on the way. Over Horizon X Steel Empire is a collection of three games being released to Switch and PlayStation on 18th July 2024. It includes the 1991 NES classic Over Horizon, developed by HOT-B, which was originally only released in PAL and Japanese territories.
The pack also includes two versions of the Steel Empire which can be seen as the spiritual successor to Over Horizon. The first game is the original Mega Drive classic, featuring steampunk visuals that make this shooter stand out from the usual alien and space settings of the time. The other game is the 2004 Game Boy Advance release which shrunk the graphics down to a portable side as well as changing a few level design elements.
Anyone wanting to add more Over Horizon and Steel Empire goodness to their physical collections should check out Strictly Limited Games’ selection of Mega Drive, NES, Switch and PlayStation offerings that are still up for pre-order.
