Spica Adventure was released exclusively to Japan arcades by Taito in 2005. Now, publisher ININ Games, who have been teaming up with Taito a lot recently, has announced the 2D platformer is heading to Xbox, PlayStation and Switch in 2024. The game will be avaliable digitally on all the formats with a physical release for PlayStation and Switch going up for pre-order in Novemebr 2023.
You play as Nico through challenging stages filled with abstract and cartoony dangers. It wouldn’t be a wrong call to say this was a spiritual successor to the Bubble Bobble series given that Nico uses an umbrella similar to the ones used in Parasol Stars that is also being released by ININ this year.
