Earlier this year, we brought news that DJ2 Entertainment was adapting Streets of Rage into a movie. Derek Kolstad, the creator of John Wick and writer of Bob Odenkirk’s Nobody film last year was attached to the project.
According to Variety, now it seems the movie rights have been acquired by Lionsgate, and thankfully Derek Kolstad is still onboard as writer and producer. Lionsgate has a history of video game adaptations, but there is still no news on a release date, or of a director being attached to the project. Hopefully, we’ll get more news on this soon.
