We previously reported on the launch of Digital Eclipses’s Gold Master series of “interactive documentaries, which aim to both tell the stories of classic games while also giving players the chance to play classic games on modern formats.
The second release in the series has been confirmed as a Jeff Minter Gold Master collection titled ‘Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story’.
The release will include 42 games from Jeff Minter’s massive back catalogue, originally released on machines from the ZX81 to the Atari Jaguar, as well as Gridrunner Remastered, which is exclusive to this release.

Jeff Minter is certainly a developer who holds a special place in many a retro gamer’s heart, with his unique vision, psychedelic tendencies, love of animals, penchant for natty knitwear, and his unparalleled understanding of what makes a great arcade-style game, so the Jeff Minter Gold Master release should be very special indeed.
Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story will be released in 2024 on PlayStations 4&5, Xboxes One and Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
