After two years of Kickstarter-funded development, Goodboy Galaxy for the Game Boy Advance is officially on the assembly line, preparing for worldwide shipping in Winter 2023! The physical cartridge is available right now for pre-order, with a digital option to follow.
For those eager to try the upcoming release, a demo can be downloaded from itch.io that can be used in a GBA emulator or Everdrive cart. There is also the news that Goodboy Galaxy will be released on modern systems at some time in the future with Switch and PC confirmed.
If by “pre-ordering the physical release” you mean a recently announced release by 1st Press Games

I would like to remind everyone that 1stPG has very very (I mean VERY!) bad reputation of repeatedly delaying all their releases in the past without any notifications or sensible justifications. Usually people wait 3+ years for their games to arrive. Please take a look at their “Release Progress” page which lists games announced 3 years ago still waiting in their production queue! Information Q3 2023 next to them means nothing. And I mean it! These dates are routinely moved to the future again and again. If you believe you’ll get your cart this year (or even the next year), you are naive. The prove is in their own record.
Honestly, if that publisher was selected by authors, they went for one of the worse (maybe even the worst) from the bunch in this notoriously pathetic limited-run-preorder-game-FOMO business.
Hi, I’m just reporting what the press release said. I’m not aware of any issues with the publisher
