The Tale of Clouds and Wind is the latest entry to QUByte Interactive’s Classic range. These new Xbox, Switch and PlayStation versions have had new art added to stop any copyright infringements. Some of the original Mega Drive assets have been stripped out as they were stolen from other games during the 90s.

Other new features include some visual adaptions to add scanlines and other extras. You can also remap the controls on an emulator overlay. The game itself is like many other brawlers in that you are constantly swarmed by enemies coming from left and right.

You have to battle them using your weapon as well as jumping attacks. You can perform a running attack and a back attack but special spells unleash devastating attacks to clear the screen. There is lots of fun to be had here and with three different characters to choose there is lots of variety.

The graphics and sound are decent enough considering the games Mega Drive roots. Fans of the genre should be checking The Tale of Clouds and Wind. Also those looking for a an easy arcade title to pick up and blast through on a weekend. Plays great with a friend in co-op.
