Donut Dodo C64 level map

We recently reviewed Donut Dodo on the Nintendo Switch, and it’s fair to say we were impressed. The brilliant platform game has been inspired by the arcade games of the early 1980s, and like all good 1980s arcade games, it’s crying out for 8-bit home computer ports!

Well, C64 developer Arlasoft has begun work on such a conversion, creating maps for the first 3 levels for the Commodore 64, which he has posted on Twitter.

Sadly, Arlasoft doesn’t seem to be taking the project any further. We urge him to reconsider, as it looks fantastic so far! Donut Dodo developers Pixel Games appear to be equally impressed, too.

Now, do any ZX Spectrum developers fancy converting the game to the humble Speccy?

I've been playing video games since the 1980s, from the 8-bit era onwards. I have had to play one-handed following a stroke in 2014, and I blog about playing games with one hand.
