Sarah Jane Avory, coder of recent Commodore 64 classics Neutron, Zeta Wing, Soul Force and The Briley Witch Chronicles, has tentatively started work on a mysterious new game. It’s to be called Bayraktar, which is the name of an unmanned combat drone. Details are minimal as work only started on 9th March, but given the inspiration behind it and Sarah Jane’s past works, and the knowledge it’s using the Zeta Wing code base, it’s expected to be a shoot ’em up. Sarah Jane has mentioned that if the game is completed then all proceeds would go to charities benefitting victims of the war in Ukraine. As it’s very early days, it’s best to keep an eye on Sarah Jane’s Twitter feed as updates will be posted there regularly. As soon as we have details of a release date and publisher, we’ll be sure to let you know.
