There were some amazing games on the ZX Spectrum, but there were also some right shockers. Whether it was ill-conceived movie licences, arcade conversions, shameful marketing campaigns, or those deliberate tough-as-nails titles that leave you pulling your hair out – there’s now a new book that covers it all.

ZX Nightmares, written by games journalist Graeme Mason and published by Fusion Retro Books, is a new 240+ page gaming journal covering the stuff of 8-bit gaming nightmares. Crowdfunding for this new book reached its Kickstarter target within hours and runs until 3rd April.

You can support the project here on either digital PDF (£8) or hardback (£20).
