Originally released in 2002 on Game Boy Color, Shantae is getting a new lease of life and will be released digitally on the 2nd of June 2023 for both PS4 and PS5. With this release, the entire Shantae series will be available on PlayStation systems for the very first time.
The emulators are powered by Limited Run Games‘ Carbon Engine, retaining the graphics, sound, and gameplay of the game’s initial release, while adding features such as control options, save states, and visual filters.
